Stepping Into 2026: A New Chapter of Discipline, Legacy & Financial Freedom

Every year, I find myself becoming more serious, more intentional, and more focused on my finances. Part of it is age. Part of it is wisdom. But a big part is simply this: every birthday brings me one step closer to retirement age — and as an entrepreneur, that reality hits differently.

For someone like me, retirement has never been a straight line.
I’ve had major setbacks — financially, professionally, relationally.
I poured years of time, energy, and money into a degree I no longer use.
I had to rebuild my life piece by piece after losing almost everything.

And yet, here I am.

At 48 years old, I am the most financially disciplined, strategic, and future-focused version of myself I’ve ever been. Retirement isn’t something I’m afraid of anymore. It’s something I’m preparing for — intentionally and unapologetically.

Because as an entrepreneur, my future is not guaranteed unless I build it.

Entrepreneurship & the Myth of “Unlimited Money”

People look at entrepreneurs and assume we have money flowing from everywhere. And yes, entrepreneurship does create opportunity — but it also creates pressure, responsibility, and a level of financial management most people never have to think about.

There’s no pension waiting for me.
No automatic retirement match.
No “clock in, clock out, collect your benefits” structure.

Every dollar I want in my future has to be built by my own hands.

That truth used to scare me.
Now, it motivates me.

Real Estate: My Foundation of Stability

One of the strongest pillars of my long-term financial plan has been real estate investing, especially long-term rentals. They’ve given me:

  • predictable monthly cash flow

  • equity that grows on its own

  • assets that appreciate over time

  • a financial cushion no job could ever guarantee

Real estate didn’t make me rich overnight — it made me secure.
It gave me something I could lean on while rebuilding the rest of my life.

The Stock Market: The Skill That Changed My Trajectory

I started learning to trade and invest back in 2018. Before it was trendy. Before it was a TikTok topic. Before most people even understood what options trading was.

Then my life took a sharp turn.
Prison.
Silence.
Setbacks.
Starting over from scratch.

But when I came home in 2023, I picked up the markets again.
Harder.
Stronger.
Smarter.

Since then, I’ve been investing consistently, growing my knowledge, and teaching others along the way. And lately, I’ve been feeling a pull — a calling — to formalize that teaching and help more women learn what changed my life.

Because trading didn’t just give me income. It gave me agency.

Entrepreneurship & Motherhood: The Legacy I’m Building

I’m still building my own businesses, but the most beautiful part of this stage of my life is watching my daughters step into entrepreneurship.

One daughter running a booming event design and production company.
Another preparing to open her healthcare business.

To support them, coach them, and witness their growth is one of the most meaningful gifts of my life.

“Black Girls Cheer” is still standing strong.
My story continues to evolve.
And the empire we are building is real.

I used to think my setbacks disqualified me.
Now I realize they prepared me.

My Next Chapter: Teaching, Guiding, and Helping Others Rebuild

With more financial stability and more time freedom, I’m stepping into a new phase — becoming the mentor and guide I once needed.

I want to help women, men, anyone who is rebuilding after:

  • incarceration

  • divorce

  • financial setbacks

  • career derailment

  • trauma

  • or simply feeling lost in life

I know the path back.
I’ve walked it barefoot.
And now, I’m ready to help others walk it with strategy, confidence, and power.

2026: The Year I Stop Playing Small

I’m declaring this publicly:

2026 is the year I step fully into my purpose.
The year I stop hiding my gifts.
The year I share my journey more openly.
The year I teach, lead, and inspire on a larger scale.

This year is about:

✨ Freedom
✨ Legacy
✨ Impact
✨ Truth
✨ Financial mastery
✨ Showing others what’s possible — no matter where they started

I am not who I used to be.
I am not defined by what I lost.
I am defined by what I rebuilt.

And now, I’m ready to speak, teach, coach, and lead on a bigger stage.

2026, I’m ready for you.
